Wonderful Album from Loudon Wainwright III

An ambitious collection of songs from last century and this one. Two discs and a really nice booklet come in this package. The songs (both the old ones and the new ones) have a dreamy, tender quality that is pretty rare these days. Musicianship is top notch. Highly recommended.

Quite Obviously A Labor Of Love

I'm glad Loudon Wainwright gets a Grammy, because he is long overdue for one. (could this be his first?) In the digital booklet, he mentioned that if there was ever a movie made about Charlie Poole's life, he would want to be chosen for the title role. This project is the next best thing, if you can't make a movie. Really, I think Loudon should be relieved, making a movie is one heck of a lot more work!
