Album Review

The Blue Hawaiians' major-label debut Savage Night features more of their dark, surf-exotica-rock sound, and emphasizes the group's vocal talents. The group covers classics like Lee Hazelwood's "A Cheat," Henry Mancini's "Experiment in Terror," Tom Waits' "Jockey Full of Bourbon," and "Shakin' All Over," along with originals such as "Trouble Bay," "Hot Rods to Honolulu," and "Highlife."

It mixes the elements of twangy surf guitar and a dark, gritty layer that gives this band a unique style that is unmatched. Turn out the lights and enjoy a well produced and performed album that can take you places like a good story.

Savage Night

Really Cool Surf / Rock music.
