Customer Reviews

Completely different from the first 2 albums. But a very refreshing sound. Definitely a great purchase

6 years in the making!!!

It's been six years since California BDM giants Condemned graced the Death Metal scene with their sophomore album "Realms of the Ungodly", and although I didn't really dig that album at first, It feverishly grew on me over the years becoming a timeless masterpiece. Well their back 6 years later with their third album and I must say its pretty fan $&@#%^* tastic!! I'm not gonna lie however, I really do miss Angel Ochoa's vocals, they added such crunchy depth and foreboding brutality with some of the most deliciously guttural froggy vox on the planet, a skill set that the new vocalist simply does not possess. The overall production of HDS is flawless! With crystal clear drums and vibrant and distinguishable guitar and bass tones, aspects which end up carrying the new vocal style pretty well, allowing the band to retain their signature evil and dark atmosphere. This album just keeps getting better and better every time I listen to it, with tracks like "Omnicient Perturbations" and "Ascending the Spectral Throne" becoming some of the most addicting songs I've heard in a very long time!! It goes without saying that "His Divine Shadow" is a masterpiece and definitely one of my absolute faves of 2017!!!

Wonderful suprise awaits

Extremely solid, and will be on my frequent playlist for a long time. Has some slam, death, groove. Add some lovely tempo and key signatre changes, and this is one epic release.
