Nyman Greatest Hits

This soundtrack is disappointing if you were hoping for a new Nyman score. This soundtrack is great if you want to hear the Nyman pieces that have been rehashed the most since they were written twenty years ago. Lately, if you see Nyman's name on a score you know it has been used in previous soundtracks. For example, his music in Tristam Shandy was originally from Draughtman's Contract. The highlight piece in The Libertine was from The Story of Ann Frank. The pieces in 9 Songs were from Wonderland. I miss the days when you would go see a film and hear brand new Nyman music, e.g., Gatacca, The Claim, The End of the Affair, and of course all of the Greenaway films.

Another great thing about this perfect documentary

FYI - Track 16 "3 Gymnopedies..." is the track playing when Phillipe is actually walking the towers at the climax - the track that I had to get! If you haven't seen the film, do so NOW!!

Fantastic Movie and Soundtrack.

First off, this movie is fantastic. One of the best doc.'s I've ever seen. But the score was definitely on the of the best things about it, it kept the film tense and exciting as it got closer and closer to the finale. Fish Beach is the best song.
