Customer Reviews

Not as good as previous work but nonetheless... good.

The Most Beautiful is NOT the best work by Rookie Of The Year, while some of the songs here are really good, (Stars Fade Blue, Bizarre Love Triangle) majority are just not what Rookie Of The Year use to be, This sounds much more boy band/ poppy-ish. If this is the first you have heard by Rookie of the year and you like it. Buy this first and then go back and get "Having To Let Go" and "The Goodnight Moon" because you will like that even better! If this is the first you are hearing and you don't like it, Don't buy this and go by the first two albums. As of now nothing can compare to the original "The Weekend" off of HTLG or "The Blue Roses" of TGM. This album isn't horrible, it's just a new side of Rookie that doesn't appeal to me as much, Personally I feel less emotion... less rawness, but it is still GOOD music. Just something new I guess Ryan is trying out. I gave it four out of five though I wish I could have done three and one half out of five. Just my opinion. It's not bad Ryan. Just not what I loved about ROTY.

Once Again

Just what I expected from Rookie of the Year, now only Ryan Dunson. Very impressive record from only one person doing basically everything. My personal favorites are Turn the Page (100 Miles) and Hit Single. This album is perfect when you are in the mood for some deep lyrics and mellow yet powerful music. Buy it!

Buy this album!

Bravo Ryan, I love the album! I especially like Stars Fade Blue and Run Away. This album is a must buy ;)

Pop emo outfit Rookie of the Year started as a solo acoustic project in the style of Dashboard Confessional, but quickly turned into a proper band by their second album. Rookie of the Year began in 2004 when Fayetteville, NC, native Ryan Dunson wrote and recorded the solo album Having to Let Go. After the album's initial self-released run, Dunson signed to the indie One Eleven Records, which reissued Having to Let Go with new cover art. In the meantime, Dunson assembled a full-band lineup of Rookie...
