This fourth album from the Arizona metalcore quintet is the follow-up to 2011's Awakening. Produced by Joey Sturgis (Emmure, the Devil Wears Prada), it's the band's heaviest album to date, its poppy choruses with clean vocals colliding head-on with brutal chugging riffs, harsh roars, and synth and lead work that give parts of it a Gothenburg feel. A Christian-oriented screamo quintet with some hip-hop and nu metal influences, blessthefall started in Phoenix, Arizona, when high school friends Mike Frisby and Matt Traynor began practicing together in 2002.
