Laurie Anderson's "Home of the Brave"

Laurie Anderson's "Home of the Brave" - Pure Genius!

The inimitable Laurie Anderson

I first saw Laurie Anderson in the late 1980's at the Tivoli theater in a film of one of her performances. What a lot of people who have stumbled across her music via iTunes do not understand is, she is a performance artist. This is an understatement of what she truly is. If you can, please try to look up any videos you can find of her performances on YouTube, Hulu, Amazon prime, or whatever library you can find. Laurie Anderson has been imitated but never paralleled. She combines hi tech audio visual arts with her own unique style of dance moves, presentation of sound, light and movement, driven by her captivating, intriguing, beautiful, inventive, bizarre, unique, exciting, and fun outlook, sense of humor, and insight into music, beauty, and dreams. This is just my opinion for what it's worth, but it would cost you nothing to watch her perform, and spread the word about one of the great musical geniuses of our time. TomBom
