Sooooo good

Such a good band

Smoke or Fire can do no wrong!

so underrated

Smoke or Fire has to be the most underrated punk band out today. Punk may be dead, but these boys are doing their finest to breathe some life into the scene. I've been listening to the other two albums non-stop recently, and it amazes me how personal their lyrics are and how furious the music is. This album isn't as raw sounding (but that happens as bands progress). It's catchy, it's fast, it makes me want to drink a beer, sing a song and punch someone in the face. Punk just might live on.

Smoke or Fire is an emo-tinged post-hardcore band that occasionally shades into rootsier material along the lines of Wilco or Marah. The band originally formed in Boston in 1998, when western Massachusetts natives Joe McMahan (lead vocals and guitar) and Jeremy Cochran (guitar) met New Hampshire boys Ken Gurley (bass) and Nick Maggiore (drums) as students at Boston University.
