Customer Reviews

Anvil!

I've been following this band since I was 15, and saw their movie. They deserve way more recognition! This band is amazing and original. They pretty much inspired a lot of rock and metal bands you listen to or know of today. Kind of gives me hope that true rock and metal is still alive. Keep up the amazing work guys and keep rocking! \m/

Best effort yet!

These guys sound better than ever! I really enjoyed this album. Great songs, great production. These guys just keep getting better!

Fans Overrating

First off there is no way this album should get 5 stars. Most of the ratings are probably from fans who are giving the album a quick like. In all honesty, this album is a let down after the great strides Juggernaut of justice hit. Most of these songs feel like they didn't make the cut from JoJ and were just left overs. There are a few tracks that are worth a listen though. "Hope in Hell" is a strong song that has a great rythem. Also worth listening are "Eat your Words", "Through with You", "the Fight is never won", and "Fire at will". Most of the other songs I did not mention are very simplistic and repetitive. Hopefully the next release will have much more energy, and is better composed.

Clearly indebted to the likes of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and many others from across the Atlantic, Anvil nonetheless played louder, faster, and heavier than their heroes, in the process laying the groundwork for the thrash movement that took over heavy metal's underground in the '80s. Yet unlike many of the furious West Coast thrashers that immediately...
