Album Review

Kris Allen hasn't exactly stormed the pop charts with his releases since winning 2009's American Idol television competition, but the Arkansas-born singer and songwriter has built a steady fan base with his easygoing, acoustic guitar-based songs. This set is his fifth studio album release, issued by his independent DogBear Records imprint. Allen wrote the ten songs included here in Nashville, and while Horizons doesn't differ much in pace or temperament from his other albums, it does have a bit more of a country music feel.

Good, better, best

Better late than never....I finally purchased the entire album. It's a great bridge between Thank You Camellia and Letting You In. It feels very personal and shows off Kris Allen's maturity as a singer and songwriter. It's hard to imagine he could get any better, and yet he outdoes himself with each new album!

Fantastic Singer/Songwriter

Horizons is a beautiful album from Kris Allen. All songs are wonderful to listen to. No bad song in the bunch. Keep it up Kris, your music contintues to be inspirational, beautiful, heartfelt and fun.

The instrumental accompaniment...
