iTunes Review

Foster the People have touches of California sunbaked pop in their repertoire, but there’s also a dark Euro-disco groove lurking under the hooks of “Don’t Stop (Color On the Walls)” and the thick, goth-like wash of “Waste.” Singer Mark Foster plays and programs enough keyboards to give the songs a grand entrance, while other members contribute to the production to jazz up and space out tracks like “Miss You” and “Life On the Nickel.” “Warrant” works under an ambient haze. “Houdini” charges with an unforgiving groove, squeaky synths and a falsetto that reaches back to the ‘70s disco era.

Great Album!!!

Also the song is amazing

wow wee wow wow

(sigh) i remember when they 1st came out with pumped up kicks and litterally nobody had no idea who they were. it was kind of special to me because it was like the band was all mine, but then they come out with this master piece and now im happy everyone knows about them and i hope they continue to do their own thing and not get cought all up in the bandwagon and what not. this album is really really really really really really good. plus the singer is HOT! GO FOSTER THE PPL!!!!!

Very impressive album

Foster the People is really full of promise. I am very impressed by this album... it sounds fresh, it's energetic, lively, and creative. I see people comparing FTP to MGMT or Passion Pit-- I can see the resemblance, but at theit core each band has a very different sound. Foster the People's sound is unique and can certainly stand on its own. I am very happy with my purchase- worth the $10!
