HOLY ….

Stone Sour is back and heavier than ever. I had huge expectations for this record after hearing the first two songs and lived up to every bit of it. Its the perfect mix of aggression, mixed the memorable and melodic choruses, and the occasional slower song added in there. Definitely the album of the year. I expect part 2 to be just as great when it comes out next year

really, really, REALLY good!!

I never write reviews, but am compelled to write one for this album….

I am a long time fan of SS, each album getting better than the previous, but this one totally blows the others out of the water.

Don't hesitate to buy, you won't be disappointed.

Can't wait for part 2

In order for you to enjoy this album you need to have the whole experience. You cannot buy this album on iTunes and expect to enjoy everything this album has to offer. These two releases by Stone Sour are more than new albums, they are a unique experience. You have to buy this album from Best Buy or Hot Topic to fully understand. There is a story in the booklet that goes right along with the tracks and it really is an interesting story and you don't get this story when you buy the album from iTunes. Corey Taylor has never been at a higher creative point in his career. This is right up there with the best albums in 2012 and is probably Stone Sour's best work yet. The only complaint I have is that when they pick up an acoustic guitar things almost come to a stand still. The slower songs are not near as good as songs like Hesitate, Dying, or Through Glass. But the rest of the album is rock solid and it really shows Stone Sour's diversity as a band. RU486 is a very catchy, heavy, and groovy song, Drowsy God is more of a progressive rock song, Gone Soverign and Absolute Zero are just amazing rock songs with no holes and are easy to blare in your car and jam with, A Rumor of Skin, My Name is Allen, and Last of the Real are also fantastic songs. The best slower song is probably Tired. Overall, a great album that will be remembered for years because of the way Stone Sour has done it. It's all about the experience and I can't wait for part 2 in May.
