Album Review

Continuing the two-album arc started on House of Gold & Bones, Pt. 1, Stone Sour resume their two-part concept album on House of Gold & Bones, Pt. 2. Musically, the album feels quite a bit like its predecessor, making the band’s decision to release them as two separate discs a smart move, allowing listeners a chance to take a breather before diving back in for a second helping. That said, the quality of the record is still on par with the first part, so anyone who enjoyed the previous record will certainly find more to love here.

Much better than previous album!

For those who say Audio Secrecy is better than this, clearly thats the only Stone Sour album you've heard cuz this takes it back to Come What(ever) May days which I loved! I can listen to this album straight through and loved every song. Dont quite understand Ru486 but Corey Taylor does not wrong. Glad to see they didnt lose all heaviness with Audio Secrecy! Cant wait for Part 2!

It will grow on me

Definitly not 5 stars but has some good tunes. Other than the first couple songs, tends to get kind of boring and repetetive. Hopefully a little more creative for part 2.

Stellar!

Utterly amazing! Long time listener of SS and Slipknot but this album set the bar high above any other SS record. Corey voice is the perfect for everything they tried to accomplish within this record. CANNOT WAIT FOR PART 2!!!

Stone Sour re-formed in the early 2000s, though, and quickly distinguished themselves with a pair of gold-selling albums and three Grammy nominations. The band's reunion began in early 2002,...
