Customer Reviews

Stellar album!

Ty has consistently had one of the best voices in all genres of music and with "House on Fire" he comes roaring back with that unmistakable voice and an amazing collection of songs.

House on Fire shines brilliantly

Been waiting for this album for quite a while. Honesty and truth in music never sounded so good. There is a gentle ease that permeates every song, even when the words are filled with anguish or pain, the song still has an uplifting quality, a sense of pride, honesty and resilience to it that will guarantee multiple plays. I'm loving that Ty Herndon is embracing himself wholly and with such love of who he is and how he sees the world. In these potentially darker times, it's truly a gift to find a beacon of light. This is one of those albums.

IF YOU don't enjoy this then you're wrong in the head.

House on Fire is an inferno of a comeback of one of country musics best voices. Standouts to me are the title track, Just Friends, That Kind of Night & If You... If You is a classic and country radio will be foolish if they don't play it. It's as clever as any country hit. Ty is classic, classy, brave and mega talented.

Born: May 2, 1962 in Meridian, MS

Herndon was a little wilder, at least off the stage, than many of his peers, but his records had a down-to-earth sense of sentimentality that initially gave him a broad fan base.
