Not the best from the ADJD releases

There is a difference between sound evolution and throwback just to seem to be evolving. The first track is a horrible homage to sounds of old and, quite frankly, I personally am getting tired of the throwback sound and the 'new minimal' sound, such as that on Adam Beyer's "Mad Eye" releases. Crackling, static-y minimal is becoming trendy and undermines the evolution of tech-house in the long scheme of things. "How about that thing?" is more cheese than homage to an earlier decade of 808 sounds and electro-clash rhythm. "Maybe Later!" and "Catch Me In The Dark" are the redeeming efforts from this release and shouldn't be written off so easily. Robert Manos gives excellenct vocal treatment to the latter and both tracks make quality use of electro-clash inspiration. "Catch Me in The Dark" is a quality track that, if at the least, should be the main purchase from this release. Check other ADJD releases, since Delano seldom produces weak efforts and John, not Jesper, Dahlback gives quality house influence to their collaberations. Ahka
