The Trio Works but the Quartet - Quintet - Sextet Does Not

When the Piano leads, it all Flies. The Pace, the Continuity, and the Flow is there. Three songs are Great; Solar, My Dream, and Rat Race, with Rat Race by a Nose over the other 2. This Group should really be a TRIO, since their Best Sound is a Traditional Piano, Bass, Drum. These three players project an Air of Confidence - whether it be due to their personalities or their playing style - and it Shows. The other songs seem to ramble, with no True Lead coming from the other players. Again, the Piano Lead is the Secret to Mr. Cordoba's Sound. The female singer was a nice touch, but She needs to be catered to by the Instruments and she needs to Bring It instead of trying to blend in. The saxophone and the guitar seem timid and do not feel the Intentions and Threads of the Composer.
My Recommendation? Consider being a Trio or have the Composer work with the Others to get with the Themes. The Singer is reminiscent of Esther Satterfield, but without Big Air. Work with her so she will Deliver the Message, otherwise it all gets lost.
Thumbs Up for the Piano, Bass, and Drums. They play Big when it Counts and Blend well together.
