Truly amazing artist

At a first listen, you may notice how catchy the songs are. Second listen (or if you listened closely the first time): lyrical genius.

A lot of Christian artists get five star reviews simply because the fans are typically more positive and excited about their music genre expanding. This review is different.

Although I am a Christian, this review is more based on the music.

I have heard B. Reith before, back when his EP was the only thing of his on iTunes. When I heard it I was like, "Oh, this guy is alright." I downloaded 'Go On' and 'Mess' and moved on. For whatever reason I ran across him again, saw he had new music out, and checked it out.

What I found is an artist that has matured and improved a lot. I even downloaded some more of the old stuff. I also figured out the secret to B. You see, he is not a guy you can judge after one or two song previews. His music is like wine: you need to sip, swish, and savor the flavors. I had to listen to his songs a few times before judging them. What I found is that B. Reith's hits are some of the most jammy, fun, and casual listening tunes I have ever heard. On multiple occasions (in the car, in the apartment, whatever) numerous friends of mine have asked "who is that artist?" He catches peoples attention.

To validate my musical expertise: I have been in several rock bands, been on the radio, been to two studios. I listen to anything from metalcore to reggaeton. I like latin, jazz, afro-cuban, rock, metal, pop, reggae, instrumental, some dub, and pretty much anything good. B. is kind of in a category of his own. He attracts hip-hop listeners but also some soul and funk listeners too.

Let me summarize. Give this guy a chance. His music will satisfy in the long run.
