That One Guy! ,

It's Good, but could have been GREAT!

When I first heard this album back in 2004, I was very pleased, especially since 2000's ATYCLB was a bit of a let-down (though it did have some good songs on it). Anyway, so far, I think this is U2's best album of the 2000's. But why, oh why, did you not include "Mercy" and "Xanax and Wine" on this album??? :( There were some other good out-takes as well. It's a good album, but it could have been a great album!

Here's my preferred track listing:
(1) Vertigo; (2) City of Blinding Lights; (3) Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own; (4) Smile; (5) All Because of You; (6) A Man and A Woman; (7) Crumbs From Your Table; (8) Mercy; (9) One Step Closer; (10) Original of the Species; (11) Xanax and Wine.

There ya go ...AMAZING!!!

This is U2 at their finest!

Great rock vibe mixed with perfect ballads that have emotionally charged lyrics. This album is all things U2.

Why so late boy ,

City of Blinding Lights worth its admission.

An album full of good songs, although not a landmark album of U2, a good album nonetheless. Singles from this album have become staples in their live shows.
