Album Review

Spanish vocalist Niña Pastori's sixth album, Joyas Prestadas (2007) is a chart-topping collection of cover songs. Several of the covers are internationally well known, like the album-opening classics "Burbujas de Amor" (Juan Luis Guerra, a tropical vocalist from the Dominican Republic) and "Vivir Sin Aire" (Maná, a rock band from Mexico). Others are more specific to Spain, like "Mediterráneo" (Joan Manuel Serrat), "Cuando Nadie Me Ve" (Alejandro Sanz), and "Hoy Igual Que Ayer" (Los Chicos).

Customer Reviews

worth a try

very few times i've found an artist that can interpret other's artist songs as well as pastori has done it. classics that become more classics after you listen to her. can't wait to see what else she can do in the future.

Good but

Beautiful, but i-tunes should have more albums of this wonderful spanish artist. She is a great composer and none of these songs are hers.

Wonderful moves

Give me a cool, cloudy day, a driver's car: no automatic, no climate control, no fancy electronics except for a good stereo playing Niña Pastori... The rest of the world fades out, only the road, Niña's voice and the engine & wind noise remain. Super.
