Very interesting and powerful music

From the opening song to the closing 'Amen' this is a very special album. Where else can you hear powerful singing (in the same arena as Chris Cornell, Bono, Sting), artful guitar playing (think William Ackerman, Michael Hedges, David Gilmour), and a sonic landscape of mind bending musical accompaniment featuring sitar, cello, viola, fretless bass (provided by Trip Wamsley), doumbek and other percussion, and a bunch of other instruments. Even with all of the instrumentation the album comes off feeling sparse and personal. All of this perfectly sets up the intelligent and provocative lyrics. I'm not kidding, you have have to check this out ... and use headphones!

Fantastic stuff!!!

If you're a fan of Frank's work with Atomic Opera and don't own this record you're doing yourself a great injustice. Fans of Kemper Crabb, Derek Webb, Sufjan Stevens, and Chris Cornell's solo work should also find this an enjoyable listen.

One of My Favorites of 2006

An excellent album but a very hard one to classify. The one constant throughout the album is superb musicianship and thoughtful lyrics. The musical style varies broadly – one wonders how it was decided to place this in the Rock category on iTunes. The instrumentation and arrangements are unique, highlighted by Frank’s powerful vocals. The Christian aspect of this album is also fascinating – obviously the artist is Christian, but this album is about as far from the sound or preachy message of the typical Christian album as one could get. Frank Hart’s lyrics speak to the soul. My favorite songs include Love is Only Love, Mad, and Baby Forgive Me, but they’re all good. I’ve had this CD in my disc changer for 6 months now. Buy this album – I would love to hear another one published by this artist.
