Fun band from Chapel Hill.

This was a short lived band out of Chapel Hill, NC during the mid 1990s. The other bands listed here are different (I wish itunes would do the research and organize these bands separately) as I am only aware of this band putting out one album and some 7in records. They are definitely complex and unique. The only way to describe them is to listen to the samples provided and see for yourself. My favorites are Genius, Stripteaser, The Theme of the Anti-Hero, and (A Place Named) William. We use to catch them at local shows in Chapel Hill and would have a blast! I guess not all good things last forever and they did eventually break up but atleast we have this album to remember them by.

Hottest Chapel Hill band outside of Superchunk and Archers!

This tape got stolen out of my car a few years ago and I never thought i'd hear it again. This band rocked the Chapel Hill, NC scene in the early to mid 90's, fronted by Kat Cook with a fantastic voice and kickass backup band with a lot of cred in the music scene including Tricia Tuttle and John Howie. I saw them many times at the Cats Cradle and this brings back memories! I know they were on an independent label before getting signed to the UK label, Beggars Banquet. Check out "Stripteaser" and "Theme of Anti Hero" and "I am Beautiful". The whole album is great. If you like Tsunami, Sonic youth, Velocity Girl, Helium, etc, this is a must have.

Starting out as a semi-joke to play around town, Tim Brennan (vocals/guitar), A.J. Brown (bass/vocals), Mark Palacz (guitar), and Mark Sutor (drums) got more serious as their four-song demo and live show soon amassed a substantial local following. They independently released The June EP in mid-summer 2004, and despite having...
