Where do you start in decribing the album that first fused the fury of LA Hardcore and the artistry/musicianship of bands like Public Image Ltd., or The Minutemen. In 1981 they were doing what wouldn't become "hip" until five years later. Buy this if you have any taste!

A Hidden gold mine

This album is one of the best albums of punk ever created. Bold statement, but it's true. This album combines raw experimentalism with Black Flag punk to create a scintillating sound. For anyone who enjoys something different yet incredibly great, this is for you. "We Don't Need Freedom" is the best song on here.

Great Classic

This is one of the best hardcore albums ever made in my opinion. I bought my vinyl copy back in '82 and now 25 years later got it again,this time in digital.

Although Greg Ginn's record label SST was, early on, associated with the angry, overamped guitar rant of SoCal hardcore (some of which came courtesy of Ginn's own band Black Flag), SST was also recording bands that pushed the limits of hardcore.
