"Lead me into the waves so I can see You standing over them, I want to feel the oceans tremble!"

I've been a fan of these guys since their 2013 album, Transparency, back when they were called Mouth of the South and I've always felt that they are one of the most genuine bands I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. This album sees a break from their previous style of "progressive ministry metal" and a turn towards a more melodic, ambient sound with even MORE progression, complete with different time signatures, so many different types of sounds, and even really strong clean singing which seems to be an ever-growing rarity for the metalcore/post-hardcore genres as most bands resort to girly falsetto vocals. These guys did every single part perfectly, and they completely destroyed any worry I might have had when I heard they were rebranding and trying something new. They took their sound that made them unique and said "God gave us creativity for a reason, let's use it and do something new." And you know what? That worked. Oh man, did it work. Great album, perfect execution, and the lyrics... oh, the lyrics. I could go on about them for ages. They are some of the most hard-hitting, honest lyrics you'll come across. The album basically reminds Christians that though we believe in Christ, we are still human and still have our doubts. This album details that struggle and the eventual realization that no matter how many times we walk away, Christ will bring us back home. Highlights: everything, but specifically Beggar, Reveal Renew, Quiet Life, Aftermath, Sojourn, I Believe, and Help My Unbelief. 10/10, 5 stars, whatever the max rating I can give and even then it feels like I'm selling this album short. Pick it up, there will be no regrets, believe me.

Great music, great message

I didn't know if I was going to like this bands genre change, but I've come to the conclusion that I like this melodic feel more than the other. One more heavy song with one of those groovy riffs like in Empty Words would have made this a five-star. Great music, great message.

Love this album!

This is definitely my new favorite band!!
