Album Review

40th Dimension is a Philadelphia duo comprised of Happ G and Scandal, adding to the extensive list of extremely talented rappers from Philadelphia. Their rhyming seems very polished; they had been together for some time prior to the release of Crop Report, and obviously worked hard to make sure this album wasn't their only splash. To start, there are no intros on the album, just 16 tracks of funky breakbeats and rhyming. Lyrically, they represent with complex verses that say a lot, rather than overly wordy verses without much meaning. You're almost waiting for the album to get boring or slow down as it moves along, but they manage to keep it interesting and dynamic throughout. The production comes from a handful of underground producers, most likely all from Philadelphia. Happ G also does a good job with the beats. A welcome addition to the Philadelphia groups and one that listeners will hopefully be hearing from again.

Love It!!

Classic Philly underground hip hop right here!! Let's Get It On, Eat My Gun, Open Minded, Super Scandalous, and Stop Frontin are my favorites. Listen to the clips for yourself to hear the rawness. Only a couple songs I'm not really feelin on here, the rest I'm really into.

clarence beeks would be proud!!

These dudes rep Philly HARD!! My faves are "Let's Get It On", "We Do It Like This", "Eat My Gun", "Stop Frontin", "What It Is", "Open Minded", and "Disswon", but the whole album is dope top to bottom

These dudes are raw!

This album is so raw, some of the songs sound really 'basement' but there's definitely a distinctive vibe to this album that just really grabs you and entertains throughout the entire ride of an album. The dude Scandal is a lyrical beast, I dont think he spits one weak bar on the entire album! One of Philly's most underrated emcees IMO
