Album Review

The original soundtrack to Hugh Hudson's I Dreamed of Africa features a majestic score written by famed composer Maurice Jarre. His compositions blend traditional orchestral arrangements with indigenous African elements, reflecting the film's true story of an Italian woman who moved to Kenya with her family and became an activist for protecting the region's elephants, rhinoceroses, and other wildlife. The soundtrack also pays respect to Africa's own vibrant music, including Ayub Ogada's "Ondiek" and "Obiero" and Geoffrey Oryema's "Kel Kweyo." A rich and compelling collection of film and world music.

Simply Beautiful

A musical journey which evokes the sounds and emotions of Africa.

I loved it!

I love this movie. It really portrays the hardships of the life in Africa. I can honestly say it made me cry. Very, very good movie and soundtrack.

Terribel Film, Decent Soundtrack Full of What We've Already Heard Before...

I would destroy this film if it were in my possession. I was so grim, depressing, and boring, that I would've demanded my money back from the video store, had I been the one to return it. DO NOT EVER SEE THS UGLY FILM!!!! As for the music, nothing special here. Nothing worth remembering. And certainly not worthy of your money, or space on your iPod or other device. DON'T BUY.
