Less Dance. More Song Craft.

It took me until this release to understand what listeners were seeing in Hot Chip. Earlier releases seemed like just more neo synth-pop playing to a numb dance floor. And then I listened to this. So much emotion coming from electronic beats and intimate vocals. I'm old enough to remember Supertramp and this disc is akin to their best work in my opinion. The dual vocal approach of Hot Chip hearkens back to them and the complex lyrics and accomplished musicianship do, also. This could be the contemporary "Breakfast in America."
