This Collectables disc takes George McCrae's smash album Rock Your Baby and combines it with his eponymous 1975 follow-up. As a precursor to the eventual disco movement in N.Y.C. and beyond, McCrae's soulful "Rock Your Baby" was a smash hit both on the dancefloor and on the pop charts. The majority of the tracks found on this disc follow that same pattern, with a distinctive blend of soul inspiration drawn from Philly, Memphis, Detroit, and his hometown of Miami, along with a bit of an Isley-ish touch thrown in for good measure (check "Make It Right" for an obvious example).
