Simple and 'minimal'...yet wonderfully layered

I first heard Einaudi's music when I was living in the UK...initially on Classical FM then in concert at the Barbican in London back in 2002. I'm so glad to see him (finally) on iTunes. I have all of his albums but I believe 'I giorni' is one of his best. It's a great introduction to his minimal yet melodic piano/composition style. Almost every track is musically outstanding in its own way. My only criticism is that the production value of the recording itself is not as high as I would like it to be.

An incredible glimpse into an alternate reality of sensous integrity

I discovered Ludovico Einaudi accidentally, and have been a satisfied musician ever since. This music is not only incredibly unique, it is life changing. Ludovico has the ability to take anyone out of their life and suspend them in a heavenly realm with his music. He paints the soul with a simplistically complicated colour....that can heal and transform the human soul.

I'm a fan of much minimal music. I have heard some new-age I've liked, but find most of it trite. This, however, is beautiful and well composed. It could easily fall into either category. I enjoyed the whole album and highly recommend it for something to relax to.
