Album Review

On Doll Domination's cover, each Pussycat straddles her own motorcycle bedecked with the initial of her first name, and on the album, each gets to sing lead on at least one track, and on the double-disc deluxe version — which clocks in at over 85 minutes, four minutes longer than Pink Floyd's The Wall — each Pussycat gets a track credited to herself. Despite the parade of pretty, sculpted, generic R&B voices, there are some good tracks: the ever-reliable Kara DioGuardi helps give the shimmering '80s gloss of "Who's Gonna Love You" some shape, Ne-Yo's "Happily Never After" is a good ballad, there's a Snoop Dogg cameo, and Missy Elliot name-dropping Katy Perry.

PCD Are Amazing<333

I Love There Voice's. But The Only Thing Is That I Hate That Nicole Just Sings. She Needs To Share The Spotlight.

Where's the dancing?!

PCD was full of ready-set dance numbers. I could jam to them while working out to get my heartrate up, and they were in all the clubs, frats, and dance parties. What happened? The only really good dance number is When I Grow Up. The girls need to go back to what they had to begin with, which is fun dance numbers with catchy beats, not soulful ballads. I want the real PCD!

A Solid Comeback !

This album is a grower. It's not like PCD, which was able to capture the audience immediately with hot-as-fire uptempo dance tracks, Doll Domination is a more serious approach of the Dolls into Urban R&B and Pop. For those who love PCD so much, DD may not be so appealing at first, but I assure you, just after the second listen you'll be totally hooked up with it ! The solos of each 5 members are absolutely amazing ! Howver, that's the part that refrains me from giving this album 5 stars: the apparent domination of Nicole's presence has grown a bit annoying to me. All the other members can sing just as well. I hope in the future I can hear more from the likes of Kymberly, Melody, Ashley ... Recommended tracks: When I Grow Up, Bottle Pop, I Hate This Part, Out of This Club, Magic, Hush Hush + all the solo songs !
