First review! :)
It's easy enough to write a simple song that is forgettable. It's a bit harder to write something complex. But you've struck gold when you can compose something that is simple yet carries meaning and sticks with the listener after just one play through. Autumn Sky has done this with "I Light A Fire". Coming across like Stacy DuPree covering Adam Schlesinger, "I Light A Fire" sounds like a song that could have been a hit in any era and hopefully will be in this one. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
Autumn Sky is an incredible writer, musician, and vocalist and this is just another song that adds to her long list of perfect songs. It's more up-beat than most of the songs on her album 'All Which Isn't Singing' which isn't a bad thing at all. Everyone needs some more up-beat music in their lives! They brighten moods and even Autumn Sky's slower songs are absolutely phenominal. This song is just a small taste of her growth and originality and you can hear how passionate she is about her music just by listening. I highly reccomend not only this song but her full length album! Also, look forward to her new album which will be coming out sometime soon! You'll love her. She has a song for every mood it seems, and I can listen to her any time, any where, in any mood, and just get entirely swept away by her voice and her lyrics and the music. Check her out! You'll be doing yourself a priceless favor.
Pop like it used to be
If you like the tunefulness and organic sound of '60s and '70s pop and folk-rock, this is for you. Simple, catchy, and with enough changes to keep it interesting the whole way through.
