The English Beat? This Must Be A Joke!!

Tears of a Clown was released by Smokey and The Miracles in 1970. It is one of Smokey's signature songs. It was written by Smokey. His real name is William, check the song credits. Smokey and many Motown artists are highly loved and respected in England. Many English bands cover Motown artists out of love and respect, as did the English Beat. I was there in the 80's, I know. I hate to admit it, but right now I am looking at a picture of me and Boy George arm and arm. Yikes!! Nothing but respect to Smokey and this album!

Obvious Good Choice

I needed to put away my records and update some music , this being one of the albums . I almost forgot how The Miracles managed to never release a song that was less than perfect . Nice to have them back in the collection .
