iTunes Review

Born in Alabama but raised in Ohio, Eddie Levert is best known as a founding member of soul/funk icons The O'Jays, who released more than 25 albums between 1965 and 2010 and had a long string of classic hits ("Backstabbers," "For the Love of Money," "I Love Music," "Love Train," etc.) during their '70s-era heyday. His three sons (Gerald, Eddie Jr., and Sean) would become stars in their own right during the '80s and '90s, racking up several hits as the group Levert. On the aptly titled I Still Have It, Eddie shows us that even at 70 years old, with more than 50 years in the business, he's still got what it takes to put out top-notch music. Released independently and somewhat under the radar, this is a great album from an often-underrated pioneer. Its 11 tracks just ooze with butter-smooth soul and undeniably funkiness. Despite Levert's years, his voice is still in fine form, especially on "Don't Lie to Me," "I Like the Way You Move," and "All About Me and You."

Woo thank you Mr. Levert! Falling in love, being in love, staying in love, I got something to jam, step AND kick back sipping on something to.

My uncles introduced us to the O'jays way back in the 70's when we were little!!! They voices are a Gift from God! They just have chills running up and down my spine! We have more generations of O'jays listeners...can't wait for the next concert!!!
