its a shame elektra records didnt promote this album properly when it came out. Alana davis is one of those rare breeds of singers that come out one in a lifetime. Her smooth silky voice glides over beautifully crafted music. THis album in paticular is alot simpler than her others, which i love. Leaving room for her lyrics and voice to shine. Standout tracks, like, god of love, and i dont care, are true singer-songwriter gems. Alana Davis really needs break out and give herself another shot at making it big. This is the time for artist like her to really get out there and show what they have to offer.

Stellar Sophomore

Her vocals shine and the production is more cohesive. Each song shares a bit of wisdom and sweetness, hence the album title. She was more youthful on Blame it on Me; here, Alana is more womanly and assured, sharing personal perspectives on life and love. If you enjoy this album, track down Surrender Dorothy, her 3rd installment. It's not recycled material, or leftover lyrics. She ventures out enough to surprise her fans while remaining recognizable. You won't be disappointed.
