Wonderfully nostalgic!

It's a journey back in time to those first crushes. With moments of excitement and despair, it's like stepping back into those precious moments of young love, with all the heartbreak and all the joy.

A Wonderful Storyteller!

Spencer tells such wonderful stories with his lryics and melodies. Each song is like a short film, with a hero you can easily adore. Subway Train is my favorite today, but other days I might name Everybody Has A Song, Twenty-One, All Along, or Not Qute Enough. There's a song for every mood, and I can't help but see the stories unfold each time I listen. Everybody Has A Song is full of imagery to which I'm sure many can relate.

Honest Songwriting

I've heard all 3 of Spencer's albums, and this (his debut) is the most ballady, personal, and acoustic. His songwriting focuses on the trials of love and youth, and Spencer has a knack for melody and lyrics that are easy to connect to. My highlights are Another Song, Everybody Has a Song, and The Only One I Need. His later efforts are more focused and more cleanly produced, but these numbers are the closest look you can get at a songwriter who is sure to deliver more good work.
