Alt-country singer Will Oldham is joined by his longtime collaborator and producer Rian Murphy for a four-track EP of playful melodies and charming orchestration. “Fall Again” and “Fall and Raise It On” recall The Beatles at their most whimsical, as Oldham’s voice carries the upbeat rhythms over chirpy guitar lines and brash brass. “Song of Most” combines gently rapped bongos with a delicate string arrangement, while the sparse “Song of All” is a quiet ballad featuring a piano line, choir chants, and little else.
