Fort Hood - EP

Fort Hood - EP

This EP features the lead-off track from Mike Doughty’s 2008 album Golden Delicious—“Fort Hood,” with its humorous interpolation of “Let the Sunshine In” into its chorus—plus three live performances of fan favorites. “27 Jennifers” features a classic fall-down guitar solo during Doughty’s appearance on Jonesy’s Jukebox at Indie 103.1 FM, with The Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones hosting. Jones is also credited with an appearance on Doughty’s tribute to fallen friend Jeff Buckley, “Grey Ghost,” documenting the improbable and tragic events at Memphis' Wolf River. “Bottom of the Well,” recorded live at New York's Union Square subway station, was also issued as the opening track on the live album Busking, which features 12 songs recorded at this impromptu venue. Hardcore fans will surely be entertained, but Doughty newcomers are encouraged to seek out Haughty Melodic and other studio albums first.
