And if the brooding rocker “No One Else” sounds somewhat reminiscent of Pink, that’s because Pink actually had a hand in writing it. While Iraheta recorded Just Like You at 17, her muscular sounding voice reveals a mature soul that’s overflowing with personality. She also likes to rock — American Idol devotees may remember her ambitiously taking on Foghat’s “Slow Ride” and Heart’s “Baricuda” — but here her love for the classics reveals itself on “Robot Love” where she dares to boast a prominent Gary Glitter sample from “Rock and Roll (Part 2)” and the soulful “Scars” sounds influenced by Bonnie Raitt.
