Sensual beyond words....


This is the "transition" album of Delerium, wherein the group really moved from their ambient instrumental roots to a more commercial and vocal pop sound. There are still enough instrumentals and intriguing arrangements to make this worthwhile, though, and it's music one can keep coming back to and discovering more and more.


For most fans of the newer etherial incarnation of Delerium, this was the album that really put them on the map. This is due to the massive popularity of 'Silence' and the remixes that accompanied it. While the prior album 'Semantic Spaces' introduced us to the new direction, this album was the transition to the style used today. I think this is mainly due to lyrics and vocals taking center stage. If you are into modern Delerium, you probably own this album, so the review maybe a tad late. If you do not own this album yet, make sure you get the limited edition that contains the wonderful track 'Koran' as it will sure to please anyone who enjoys "Terra Firma" from the album 'Poem'.
