iTunes Editors’ Notes

Returning after a six-year absence, Plumb makes up for lost time with these urgent and revealing songs. Need You Now finds the band’s original (and now sole) member Tiffany Lee reclaiming the intensity that typified her earliest work. There are moments of inner conflict—even crisis—in these tracks, underscored by pain-wracked vocals, astringent guitars, and pounding rhythms. Lee draws on her own weakness and self-doubt to fuel the lyrics to the churning “Invisible” and the hard-throbbing “Cage.” Moving beyond the angst of her younger days, she grapples with grown-up relationship issues in “At Arm’s Length” and finds hope amid the turmoil of everyday life in “Drifting” (a duet with Jars of Clay’s Dan Haseltine). “Don’t Deserve You” is a paean of love and gratitude that avoids mere sweetness in favor of something more spiritually resonant. There are lighter-hearted moments as well, most notably the playful shuffle “Chocolate & Ice Cream” and the buoyant, ukulele-powered “One Drop.” Whether she’s confronting her fears or celebrating faith and family, Lee writes and sings with conviction; Need You Now is an impressive return to form.

Customer Reviews

I knew she was amazing, but..

the correct word is extraordinary! One of her all time best CD's. Not one song on this album that I don't like. Most Christian music I find sappy and a bit idealistic I guess. But these songs are pure honesty. What life is really like as a Human being and going through the seasons everyone goes through but are so unwilling to honestly admit the struggle. Thank You Tiffany.

Plumb IS "Beautiful!"

I recently discovered Plumb on Q90FM (Green Bay, WI) with the song "How Many TImes (Need You Now). I felt compelled to check her out on itunes and I'm impressed! I absolutely LOVE Plumb's sound! Especially , the strings and ambient tones! From her new record, "Need You Now," I have to say that "Beautiful," "I Want You Here," "How Many Times, " and "Don't Deserve You" (reg studio version) are my favorites. Plumb gives a unique and original feel to each song that I've never heard from any other artist before. I hope to see her out on tour in the near future! Hopefully, at LIFEST in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!!!! <>< Thanks for giving us listeners something special! <>< I wish you much more sucess! God bless you! - Shawna

Plumb revisits the past

Some of the new songs are much more rock and i LOVE IT! I really missed the old school Plumb. Loving the hard core guitar in Cage and the eerie vocals on Invisible. Glad to have you back Tiff!

Singer/songwriter Tiffany Arbuckle fronted the Dove Award-winning alternative rock band Plumb during the late '90s, and adopted the name Plumb for her subsequent full-fledged solo career. She was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Atlanta, where she took several gigs as a backup singer and wound up touring in that capacity instead of going to college, as she'd planned. She relocated to Nashville, where she landed a record deal based on her session and backup work and formed Plumb with a neighbor,...
