iTunes Review

Not to be confused with a Led Zeppelin cover band, Trampled Under Foot is a solid blues trio from Kansas City whose fifth album, Badlands, shows why the group is a blues-circuit staple. With siblings Danielle Schnebelen on lead vocals and bass, Nick Schnebelen on guitars and vocals, and Kris Schnebelen on drums, the members grew up hearing their father's band Little Eva. (Dad played guitar.) Here, the sound is solid and smooth, with keyboardist Mike Finnigan (Jimi Hendrix, CSN, Joe Cocker) providing color where necessary. Danielle leads the way on "Bad Bad Feeling" and sums things up on the cover of James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World," a gutsy move for a blues band. The title track features Danielle and Nick trading vocals on the album's most mature groove, where they manage to give off Southern heat without overcooking a thing.

I've got a good good feeling

Man oh MAN! Been waiting for the new album from Trampled Under Foot since their last outing. Very pleased to see that they are still on top of the game, and have a huge tour (of course) to support this great album. This is a nice cure for the summer time blues

I love these guys

I especially love the live version of "Fog" on the last blues cruise album with Tommy Castro.

I don't know if they traveled down to the infamous crossroads, but they nailed it. They just keep getting better. Danielle is in rare form with the smoky voice of a barroom angel that will make you turn up the music. Kris and Nick are a treat to listen to as well. Nick is a formidable guitarist who impressed me when he jammed with the awesome KWS in concert.
If you don't buy this album you will regret it.

The soul blues trio Trampled Under Foot consists of siblings Danielle Schnebelen (lead vocals and bass), Nick Schnebelen (guitars and vocals) and Kris Schnebelen, (drums). They grew up with the blues in Kansas City. Their father, Bill, was a blues guitarist in the band Little Eva and would regularly take his three children to jam sessions. Growing up, the siblings played separately in numerous bands over the years. Danielle was in Fresh Brew (1999-2004), Kris was a staple at blues clubs, and Nick...
