Beautifully raw

Like with Radiohead, you don't always know what you will hear from Fiona Apple. The only guarantees you get are that the music will be brilliant, honest and will consume you more and more with each listen. I was intrigued after the first listen; pleasantly surprised after the second - now I'm just obsessed.

Alienating your casual radio listeners...and I love that!

This is such an amazing album, totally worth the wait.

Fiona's music needs no introduction for us royal listeners. But for most, if not all, casual radio listeners, her music is not easily accessible as it does not contain a sellable single. And it's because of that, us "Appleheads" are a special bunch. And on some level, we require more from their music then the brainless music from the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, or pretty much anything on the top 40 radio stations.

Idler reminds me of Tidal, and Pawn, while not so much Extraordinary Machine. Upon initial listen, it takes root and blossom into something wonderful, inviting, and rewarding.

This is THE album to buy if you only buy one album this year.
