Good Music

I get the whole "straight edge" thing, I really do, and musically this album is fantastic, but what I don't get is why they feel the need to announce you're straight edgeness every chance they get? You're not trying to sell an image, you're trying to sell music, I don't care what one does or does not do in their spare time. And sure enough people who identify with the straight edgers are going to say "well you just don't understand my life choices" or "you just don't get it" and as I already mentioned I do, but don't alienate others because we do choose to imbibe or don't follow the same philosophy. To me this is no better than a christian band trying to push their religion on their audience. And obviously, based on the album cover, it's "so hard" living the life of a straight edger, and their lives are filled with so many problems, they clearly can't contain it. My suggestion for future albums is just drop the act, make music because you care about it not because think it makes you look cool to your crowd.

Before the end of the year, he was drumming professionally with an outfit called Otis Luke & the Rhythm Bombers (for a whopping five bucks a night). One auspicious...
