Great album

The songs don't particularly fade into each other, which makes each song stand strongly on its own. Syncopation is pretty key as another reviewer stated, which is typical of post-grunge 90's music. The crunchy chords littering most of the album set a melodic tone for the lyrics, which soar with every word. More acoustic tracks such as Mountain(my personal favorite) show a huge amount of work on the musicians' part. They shine the brightest in the piece, and show a level of maturity common among contemporary folk artists. The themes aren't super heavy, but the message is powerful. This is the album everyone had in their CD players in the 90's. Pray you didn't miss out.

Impressive Album

I bought this CD for only one track, "If You Could Only See," which was thier radio hit. I listened to the entire CD and was hooked. This is one of those rare CD's where every track is good--no filler here.

I liked the CD so much I took it with me to a party, and popped it into the CD player--along with a bunch of mix CD's that I had made, and let it go. The people at the party liked this CD also that they were asking who the artist was. Needless to say, I'd imagine I sold Tonic a few more CD's that night.

So, do yourself a favor--buy the entire album, otherwise you're missing out on a great album.
