Customer Reviews

If your already here...

This isnt an outfit that you would accidently stuble upon unless you dig a style of music that points you toward the sounds of American mud, in which case you should have already made up your mind that purchasing this entire album, for less than a pack of gillette razor refills, is a purchase that actuallly makes sense. It's hard to believe that there only two musicians creating an ocean of sounscape with the most basic of acoustic instrumentation. I sat on my floor and inhaled a pack of cigarettes while my imagination ran wild with characters and stories, admittedly, some were cowboys, while this record ran from start to finish. I haven't been able to play a record from A to Z in years. I hate to sound banal and redundant, but honestly, these two should be broadcast accross city streets like a russian invasion propaganda campaign circa Red Dawn. They author such an authentic and pastoral sound that you can close your eyes and actually smell pine and cypress. Their vocal melodies dance around eachother in harmonies in such an unpredictable way that you get excited at the prospect, and look forward to the other ones voice being annexed to the fold. Pirating from Berry Gordie, if you were down to your last ten dollars, would you buy this record or a sandwich...i'd buy this record and steal the sandwich. Enjoy this lovely music.

New meets old

Traditional Americana brought to life by some outstanding vocal work and fiddle playing.
