The Best of Rod & Honey

This is the best of West Coast Blues without a doubt. The best Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers to the top of their game. Hearing this recording I strongly recommend checking out The Billy Gibson Band out of Memphis and The Daddy Mack Blues Band.

Rod Piazza & The Mighty Fliers - For the Chosen Who

This is is classic blues . . . boogie woogie . . . AND the best album Rod and Honey and the Mighty Fliers have done to date. You will want to wear out the track: You can Make it if you Try and in general the entire album. Great job you guys this is classic and you are on the top of your game . . . can you go higher?!?!? You keep surprizing me!!

Best in Years

I've followed Rod since the late 60's and he has produced alot of music in all those years. This album rates among the best, roght up there with "Harp Burn" and "Here and Now". If you want a cassic taste of the Mighty Flyers, this is it. Check out track 7 "Description of a Fool". All this without mentioning that Rod is widely considered the best living blues harmonica player around.

Piazza began his professional career as a member of the Dirty Blues Band in the mid-'60s. The Dirty Blues Band recorded two albums for ABC/Bluesway -- an eponymous debut in 1967 and 1968's Stone Dirty. Piazza left the band after the release of Stone Dirty, choosing to hit the road with his idol George "Harmonica"...
