Album Review

The grand dame of country music delivers a potent greatest-hits album — her third — and her 27th album overall. She had 31 huge hits from which to choose that hadn't previously appeared on her first two greatest-hits albums. Longtime producer Tony Brown and manager/husband Narvel Blackstock chose 12 of those 31 goodies and mixed in three newbies worthy of praise, including the old Kenny Rogers tune "Sweet Music Man," produced by Alison "Make It Sound Pure" Krauss. Among the old 1990s favorites are "And Still," "She Thinks His Name Was John," "Fear of Being Alone," and "Why Haven't I Heard From You." Time and again the reigning diva of Music City just keeps hitting them out of the park — about as effortlessly as Barry Bonds at PacBell Stadium.

Reba's Hits

I like "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" (a LOT), and I think "I'm a Survivor" is a cool song. "Take It Back" and "Why Haven't I Heard From You" are very unique. I don't like "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia," (I don't like songs about people getting murdered). Brooks & Dunn add a lot to "If You See Him/If You See Her." I don't like the situation described in "The Fear Of Being Alone." The rest of the songs I like. (Except "Sweet Music Man") This is a terrific album.

What an you say about Reba other then she is truly the Queen of country music.

This album is under priced in my opinion, you gett some of her very best songs here all wrapped up in a great package, I listen to it over and over.

great value for so many good songs

i can't believe this album is only $5.99, it has so many of Reba's hits on it. Definately worth the money for so many well produced and written country songs.
