On the scene in a big way

I rarely download without first listening to a song on the radio first but a friend called me up hyping Aloe Blacc, saying he was going to revolutionize the music industry. I'm a big fan of hip hop but I wouldn't classify this as such, it has a soulful, organic quality you don't find too often today. In years to come, we'll look back at 2006 as the year Aloe Blacc arrived on mainstream. It's that good. Spread the word.

inovative and talented

this album is straight refreshing, its a classic album and quite frankly I think this album is in the wrong catagory, hip hop is for straight rhymers and although he has a flow his artistic side clearly comes threw in singing, big ups to Peanut Butter Wolf for branching out, he is slowly becoming a players coach and pretty soon they will by talking about Stones Throw amongst the best lables in the business

great summer jam

I am really enjoying this album. It is a diverse effort and one that hits many moods. That's not a problem for me. It's not a reflection of inconsistency--it's an expression of a multi-faceted, multi-talented artist. I'm looking forward to hearing a lot more from this man.
