haven't gotten it yet but...

with everyone's talk of how the song was influenced by Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers, you all must realize that it is Michael McDonald playing keyboards and background vocals on the song "Steal Away"; rethink your thoughts!

Why don't you "Steal Away" with this album.

Introducing Brooklyn boy who done good and made it big, Mr. Robbie Dupree. This was his most famous album. The song of note here is "Steal Away" which I'm sure most of you know. Heck they play it at baseball games/stadiums all over the country and I hear the song is VERY popular worldwide. Not sure about the rest though, but at least his most famous song is available as a single purchase so nothing to complain about here. Robbie hasn't made all THAT many albums, but like tons of other folks, if you're going to get anything of his off of here, get "Steal Away" Later.

One of my favorite albums of the genre

Though this Robbie definitely shows an influence of Michael McDonald, he definitely has his own pop style from the early late 70's and early 80's. He writes catchy pop songs. I wish iTunes would add his second album, Street Corner Heroes. It is almost as good as this one!
