The Music Makes This Movie Great

I recently saw a screening of THE ROCKER and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Granted it feels like a movie that Will Ferrell passed on, but Rainn Wilson still does a great job of keeping it funny even though the comedy relies too much on pratfalls and shots to the groin. What I was most impressed with watching the movie, besides the jokes/one-liners (which were hilarious), was the music!! I'm usually not a fan of pop music, but ADD's songs were incredibly catchy. They definitely elevated the movie above most movies about bands. The fact that the lead singer of ADD is the actual singer on the songs (Teddy Geiger) really impressed me. He did a great job acting and singing, a rare feat for todays no talent actor/singers (Hilary Duff comes to mind). The best songs in my opinion are "Bitter" and "Promised Land". As a huge fan of 80's metal, "Promised Land" gets it dead on. So good, Ratt wished they recorded it. Even if pop music isn't your thing, give THE ROCKER and the soundtrack a chance, you might be surprised.

Awesome Album For An Awesome Movie

This is a great movie soundtrack. A definite must buy. Teddy Geiger's voice is great. Even if you're not into his usual raspy vocals, no worries, he has a much more pop like sound on this album. Five stars, for sure.

Far exceeded my expectations

I had heard of Teddy Geiger before but never really heard any of his stuff. The Rocker album is full of some very good and catchy songs. The hard rock of vesuvius is surprisingly good as well. The movie is hilarious and people should go see Rainn Wilson's sweet body if for nothing else. well done. the best songs are "tomorrow never comes" and "nothing but a good time"
