iTunes Review

Behind the shambolic splendor of a Red Hot Chili Peppers’ performance is a tightly coiled symbiosis of musicianship. The band grapples with themes of life and death on I’m With You, an album born from the ashes of a friend’s fatal overdose. Bringing a subtle style, Josh Klinghoffer has replaced John Frusciante as guitarist, but the band still retains its unmistakable Chili Pepper flavor. The totemic lead single, “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,” soars and bops with magnitude

defiantly a great album. Some songs are pop but never the less spectacular. A must buy.

So... when's John coming back?

Amazing band, been following them for years now but Klinghoffer not only has a last name that doesn't role off the tongue but guitar playing that isn't easy on the ears. Where's the solos? Where's the potent melodies? The guitar is mediocre at best, coming across as more of this odd background guitar, a weird buzzing that for some reason grows louder every so often like it's threatening to do a decent solo - and then, no, back to background noise. Frusciante needs to come back because this is embarassing for the amazing standard that RHCP usually gives their every song.
Flea and Chad Smith keep rocking it, bringing awesome back to the bass and drums with vigor they've always maintained. Anthony is better than ever.
Buy the album, listen for yourself, be the judge, hope and pray John comes back.

I am a huge RHCP fan and I'm kind of disappointed in this album.

Few rock groups of the '80s broke down as many musical barriers and were as original as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The roots of the band lay in a friendship forged by three school chums, Anthony Kiedis, Michael Balzary, and Hillel Slovak,...
